Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 July 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Caredly when you use our platform. Plain English summary up front: Caredly is a platform that connects care workers and care employers and organises compliance information — we are not a recruitment agency, we don't carry out checks, and hiring decisions and statutory responsibilities stay with employers.
1. What Caredly is (and isn't)
Caredly provides software: profile-building, matching, applications, messaging, and the secure storage and presentation of compliance information. Caredly is not an employment agency or employment business; we do not select, supply, propose, or employ workers, we do not verify the information users provide, and we are not a party to any employment relationship formed between users. [Note for legal review: confirm positioning under the Employment Agencies Act 1973 and the Conduct Regulations 2003.]
2. Your account
You must be at least 18, provide accurate information, and keep your login credentials secure. One account per person or organisation. You are responsible for activity on your account.
3. Care workers
- Everything in your compliance profile must be true, complete, and yours. Care roles involve vulnerable people; providing false compliance information is a serious matter and grounds for immediate removal from the platform, and may be reported where safeguarding requires it.
- You control who sees your compliance pack. Consent is asked per application and revocable at any time.
- You must have permission to share the referee contact details you provide.
- Caredly is free for care workers.
4. Employers
- You remain solely and legally responsible for your recruitment obligations — including identity, right-to-work, reference, DBS, and all other checks required by CQC Regulation 19 / Schedule 3, the Children's Homes (England) Regulations 2015 Schedule 2, or any other applicable requirement. Caredly stores and presents information; it does not perform, replace, or warrant any check.
- Compliance pack information is shared with you for one purpose: assessing that applicant for your role. You must not copy, store, screenshot, download, or share it beyond that purpose, and your access ends when the applicant revokes it.
- Your organisation details and registration identifiers must be accurate. The "verified" badge reflects a check against the public register at a point in time; it is not an endorsement.
- Employer subscriptions: your first month is free. Paid plans will be introduced with clear pricing and reasonable notice before any charge applies.
5. Acceptable use
No false accounts or impersonation, no harassment or discriminatory conduct, no scraping or attempting to access data that isn't yours, no using the platform for anything unlawful. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
6. Messages and content
You're responsible for what you write on Caredly. Messages stay on the platform and are visible to the other participant; keep personal contact details private until you choose to share them.
7. The service during the pilot
Caredly is in an early-access phase. The service is provided "as is": features may change, and occasional interruptions are possible. We'll treat your data with the care described in our Privacy Policy regardless.
8. Liability
Caredly is not liable for hiring outcomes, for the accuracy of information provided by users, or for losses arising from decisions made using the platform. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law. [Note for legal review: liability caps and consumer-terms fairness.]
9. Ending things
You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard — it takes effect immediately and permanently. We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, with notice where reasonable.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction.
11. Contact
